Theme
All entries must develop along the theme for the City of North Pole, Alaska: “Where the Spirit of Christmas Lives Year Round”.  All entries will be judged in this same category.

Rules and General Information
Teams will consist of one (1) sculptor.  A maximum of 25 teams will be registered.  A $75 registration fee is required.  You must state your intent to register by December 1, via email to: mail@christmasinice.org, or call (907) 378-5778.  A concept sketch and bio is required at registration designating your required ice orientation (flat, horizontal, vertical). Each team will be provided with a minimum of 24 cubic feet of ice, in blocks of approximately 1ft x 4ft x 6ft, or more, depending on thickness of ice at harvest.  Each team will also be required create ‘partitions’ out of their provided or used ice within/surrounding their designated space.  Each team should provide its own tools, ladders and scaffolds as needed.  Power outlets (110 VAC) will be available at each site.  Teams should provide their own extension cords and work lights.  Water will be made available.  Meals will be provided on site to the registered teams.

* All sites will be cleaned and carvers will place two white lights to illuminate their sculpture for judging; scrap ice and trash will be moved to a designated area.
