Welcome to North Pole Christmas in Ice!

North Pole Christmas in Ice is the magical event that lights up the Christmas season in the interior of Alaska.  Each year, features of the prior year are incorporated into the current festivities with many new additional attractions.  The children’s play area features playground equipment made entirely of ice and snow.  Individual ice sculptures portraying various aspects of Christmas inspire viewers and bring out the sentiment of this holiday season.  This is an outdoor winter activity for the whole family. Food and beverage concessions are available in our heated facilities on site and is open to the public for a nominal entry fee.

Ice activities begin in November with the presentation of the Turkey Carving (in ice) on Thanksgiving Day. Following this initial Holiday, this ice art will be transformed into a life size Santa Claus driving his sleigh pulled by his team of reindeer. The sleigh is an interactive part of the Ice Park with an active webcam poised to take your picture as you seat yourself within Santa’s Sleigh.

Please see the schedule on our event flyer for details.  The Ice Park will remain open every day through the month of December, including Christmas, with special events planned during each weekend.
